A Rainy Start and a Radiant Finish: Esteban and Bri's Winter wedding
A Radiant Start to 2025: Esteban and Bri’s Mission San Juan Bautista Wedding
There is an old saying that rain on your wedding day brings good luck. If the start of Esteban and Bri’s marriage is any indication, they have a lifetime of beauty and fortune ahead. As a San Juan Bautista wedding photographer, I had the absolute honor of kicking off my 2025 season on January 10th with this incredible couple, setting a high bar for winter weddings in Northern California.
A Historic Ceremony at Mission San Juan Bautista
The day began at the breathtaking Mission San Juan Bautista, one of the most iconic and historic wedding venues on the Central Coast. While the rain fell steadily outside, the atmosphere inside the Mission was warm, sacred, and deeply romantic.
For couples looking for an indoor wedding ceremony in San Juan Bautista, the Mission offers a timeless backdrop. There is something uniquely soulful about the sound of rain against historic stone walls while two people commit their lives to one another.
The After-Rain Magic: Golden Hour & Rainbows
Just as the newlyweds stepped out, the California weather offered a gift no one could have planned. The clouds broke, and a vibrant rainbow arched across the sky. It was a stunning, "pinch-me" moment—the kind of artistic wedding photography opportunity that every photographer dreams of. We captured some of the most unique wedding portraits of the season against that post-storm glow.
Dancing the Night Away: Morgan Hill Wedding Reception
The celebration then moved to Morgan Hill, CA, where the rainy chill was replaced by an electric energy. As a photographer serving the Morgan Hill and San Juan Bautista areas, I’ve seen many receptions, but Esteban and Bri’s guests truly knew how to celebrate! The dance floor stayed packed all night, proving that a little winter rain can’t dampen a great party.
Starting the year with such a resilient, joyful, and fun-loving couple was a dream. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
